Otoplasty/Ear Pinning
Otoplasty corrects protruding ears, uneven ears or large ears.
Many patients consider protruding ears unattractive and want to improve their appearance. Our Surgeons can guide you through the process of making the decision whether otoplasty surgery is the right choice for you. During consultation, they will assess the anatomy of your ears and explain and plan your surgery. Asymmetry, unusual ear shape or large ear size can also be corrected during otoplasty procedure.
You will be allowed to go home following otoplasty procedure when the effects of anesthesia have worn off provided that you are accompanied by your friend or family member. You will be advised to rest as much as possible after your surgery, sleep with your head elevated using multiple pillows and return to our office 5-6 days after surgery for suture and dressing removal. The majority of patients are able to return to work or school after 1 week.
